The 33rd FAU Vis Moot-Team
Viviana Batista Viviana began her law studies in the summer of 2022. In addition to her studies she has been working as a student assistent at the chair of Prof. Dr. Hofmann. Last year she got the opportunity to study one semester abroad at the Maurice A. Dean School of Law at Hofstra University in New York, where she gained valuable insights into the American legal system and enhanced her English skills. She is multilingual, speaking a total of five languages. During her studies Viviana decided to specialise in the field of Private International Law, which led to her interest in participating in the Vis Moot. Through her participation, she aims to further develop her linguistic abilities, deepen her understanding of international law, and engage with law students and legal professionals from around the world.

Maja Roth After graduating from Labenwolf-Gymnasium Nürnberg in 2021, Maja spent two years at a Vocational School of Music, developing creativity and a strong sense of teamwork. They began studying law at Friedrich Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg in the winter semester of 2023/24. Maja sees their participation in the Vis Moot as a great opportunity to improve their rhetorical skills, connect with like-minded peers, and gain deeper insight into the practical application of law. The Vis Moot in specific interests them because of its prospect to engage with legal issues beyond the German law which creates the opportunity to gain insight into completely new legal problems.

Jasmin Zeid Nour Mohammadi Jasmin graduated from high school in Düsseldorf with top grades. In the summer semester of 2024, she began studying law at FAU because she was fascinated by the impact law has on society and its role in helping to solve complex problems. Her role as a student assistant at a leading international law firm sparked her interest in international arbitration and motivated her to participate in the 33rd Vis Moot. In addition to her language skills in German, English, Persian, French, and Japanese, Jasmin hopes to further improve her communication skills and legal English through the Vis Moot. |

Johannes Mändl Johannes began his law studies at FAU in the winter semester 2023/24, immediately after completing his Abitur with excellent results. Motivated by his ambition to pursue a career as a lawyer in commercial law, he has already gained practical insights through internships in a law firm and a notary’s office and is currently working towards the FAU Legal English Certificate. By participating in the Vis Moot, Johannes aims to further develop his legal and rhetorical skills, deepen his understanding of international commercial arbitration, and gain valuable experience in working as part of a dedicated team.

Larissa Klein After graduating from high school in 2022, Larissa immediately began her law studies and is currently in her fifth semester. She chose to study law out of a strong interest in tin how legal systems shape social structures and how they are intertwined at the international level. In addition to her academic work, Larissa is enrolled in the advanced English Language Certificate Program to further develop her legal English skills. She speaks French and Italian. Larissa is an active member of the Refugee Law Clinic, where she contributes to providing legal support for displaced individuals. Within ELSA Erlangen-Nürnberg, she currently holds the position of Auditor, where she is responsible for reviewing financial operations and ensuring transparency. Through participating in the Vis Moot, Larissa hopes to deepen her understanding of international commercial law, improve her advocacy skills, and gain valuable experience in working as part of an international team. |
